Home : Expedition Villages

The expedition village is the nerve centre and the heart beat of the Cape Outback® MTB Expedition. It is here where you can recharge after a long day on the dusty tracks, where words of encouragement is exchanged and where stories (of which some might actually be true!) are shared around the campfire. What can you expect in the expedition village?:

Entertainment Hub: All entrants will enjoy access to the Entertainment Hub with a bar and relaxation area. All briefings will be done at the Entertainment Hub.

Medical Tent: A team of medical personnel will be ready to attend to any medical matters that might arise.

Masseurs: A team of masseurs under the leadership of biokinetisist Susan Viljoen will be standing by at the DueSouth Recovery Zone to bring relief to aching bodies. Pre-bookings and payment is advised.

Technical Area: The technical backup partner of the expedition is Petie Viljoen and his team from Helderberg Cycle World. They can attend to most mechanical breakdowns as well as bike servicing. They also offer pre-booked bike maintenance packages for the duration of the expedition.

Bike Wash: There will be a complimentary bike wash service available at the end of each stage.

Bike Park: A complimentary secure bike park facility will be available at each expedition village.

Ablution facilities: All the shower and toilet facilities expected from an event like this will be available at each expedition village.
